Range Rover Sport V8 supercharged
English style always had its admirers, especially in the sports and luxury car segments. Certainly, the same is true about German luxury. but, through each type of premium cars, admirers are looking for something different.
British luxury is usually expressed in smooth and warm materials and design. The German one is always expected to instil the additional "made in Germany" perception, one of robustness and durability.
No, it is not a new car company. It is rather the Range Rover Sport (American Ford Motor Co. owns the British Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin brands) power boosted and electronically retuned now with a new insideout styling kit from the German tuning company, Arden.
The over thirtyyearsold tuning company took the 4.2litre supercharged Range Rover Sport and made it an "Arden Range Rover Sport AR6 Stronger" with 520hp instead of the standard 390hp, and 680Nm of torque, instead of 550Nm. That's a 33.33% and 23.63% boost in power and torque terms respectively.
Where did the boost come from? The "Arden Range Rover Sport AR6 Stronger" got also a. displacement boost, from its original 4.2litre capacity to 4.8 litres. That's 14.3 percent growth, for those who like comparative measurements.
In driving terms, these figures reduce the British SUV zeroto100 km/h performance from 7.6 seconds (standard) to 6.1 sec., with a 270 km/h top speed instead of the standard 225 km/h, bearing in mind that such a top speed is rarely achieved for obvious regulatory or safety reasons between the rest of the traffic on motorways.
Anyway, for comparative measurements fans, that's a 19.7% drop on the zeroto100 km/h chronometer, and a 20% rise for the top speed.
Of course, such power, torque and speed boost goes hand in hand with other corresponding enhancements.
In exterior style and aerodynamic enhancements, the Arden front and rear spoilers blend nicely with the noless elegant basic design of the Range Rover. What the Arden design adds is a timeresistant touch that will still look modern for years from now, making a resale of the vehicle more attractive.
On top of that, the more imposing appearance doesn't come at the detriment of body proportions or any of the model's functionalities.
To achieve better braking system ventilation, Arden furnishes its front spoilers with air ducts. Ducts are even incorporated into the hood to guarantee better cooling for the increased performance of engine.
With its diffuser look, the rear spoiler features openings to the left and right for the tailpipes of the Arden stainless steel exhaust system.
Additionally, Arden widens the front and rear wings by approximately 4.5 cm. A side skirt trim serves as a visual link between the line which begins at the front and rear spoiler and continues over the widened wings. All parts are manufactured of carbon fibre reinforced composite.
The sidebars are illuminated and highlight the lower edge of the entry door. This eyecatching feature makes it also easier to get in the car or to leave it in the dark.
On the wheels side, 295/30 R22 tyres are fitted to Arden's 10spoked, 10x22 inch light alloy wheels providing a sporty look the appropriate traction.
In addition, the "airy" look of the wheels allows a glimpse of the powerful brakes, which are also adapted to the increased performance. The highperformance system features 6piston fixed callipers at the front and 4piston fixed ones at the rear. These exert their force on the ventilated, perforated brake discs and ensure sustained deceleration.
Beyond the new driving feel and the visual tuning, the ear has its rights too. That's where sound comes into play. The Arden Range Rover Sport AR6 exhaust system abandons its British reserved nature. Now, it notifies the public, in its own ways, about the evolution which took place under the hood.
The Arden engineers have made an exhaust system with a sport catalytic converter. Besides the retuned sound, the highperformance system also has a "big end", made of four two twin tailpipes. Even without the motor running, the new exhaust shows silently that something special has been fitted under the hood. Arden guarantees a highquality, longlasting product manufactured completely from corrosion resistant stainless steel.
The Arden AR6 Stronger chassis comes originally with an electronic air suspension system that provides optimum tuning at all times and in every situation. However, the electronic module offers two further driver programs in addition to the standard settings. It can be lowered by 23 mm to improve the handling and to lower the centre of gravity. The sport tuning endows the large luxury SUV with better road holding. On bad roads or country lanes, the vehicle can be raised 25 mm using the offroad setting.
No matter how attractive is the exterior, we all drive and "live". in our cars, not outside. So for inside, Arden enhances the interior too with various elements.

Stress and Burnout in Youth Sports
Stress and Burnout in Youth Sports
Athletes, parents and sports psychology professionals often have different ideas about burnout in sports. Research indicates that burnout gets in the way of a young athlete's joy in sport participation, participation longevity, and ultimately performance success.
A beginning baseball player has a limited idea whether he is competent or not at the skills associated with hitting a baseball. Typically, the beginner is to a large degree participating in the sport because he senses he can play with some level of skill, it is fun, and provides an opportunity to socialize and be with friends. Over time the athlete either succeeds or fails to master the concepts of executing a specific skill. Stress and frustration can develop as a result of many factors.
Burnout ""is a condition of psychological, emotional, and sometimes physical withdrawal from sport participation as a direct result from chronic stress"", Rotella, (1991). Each year many young athletes turn their heads from sport participation because of their frustrating ""experiences"" in sport. Sport psychology research points out that it is the sum total of experiences over time, the judgment of ones performance, the pressure to perform, the stress of performing, the boredom, lack of joy, and the goals that others place on the athlete that ultimately lead the athlete to burnout and early retirement from sport.
Stress plays an important precursory role in burnout. Stress in reference to burnout is defined ""as a perceived imbalance between perceived demands and perceived response capabilities"", Martens, (1977). Each person has a tolerance level for stress. If the stress becomes considerably greater than the tolerance, a person will suffer from emotional stress and its negative consequences, Humphrey, (2003).
Another noteworthy concept offered by Henchen (1986), makes a distinction between burnout and staleness. ""Staleness, he claims, ""refers to an overall physical and emotional state"", which can be seen as an early yellow flag of a more advanced negative state that may follow. If ""staleness"" is caught early enough, it is possible to ""nip"" burnout before it reaches a more advanced stage which may result in the athlete quitting the sport all together. Burnout is an averse condition that takes time to develop and therefore is gradual in onset. Coaches, parents, and others that make up a young athletes support system are well advised to pay close attention to these symptoms.
Sport Psychology professionals generally agree that at the core of burnout is a general combination of the following symptoms: ""lack of energy, exhaustion, sleeplessness, some degree of depression, tension, irritability, anger, headaches or other physical ailments, decreased performance, a tendency to internalize all failures, disillusionment with sports, and loss of confidence"", Rotella (1991). Athletes today are often under great pressure from parents, and coaches to specialize at an early age.
Research indicates the most salient reasons why children participate in sports include; for fun, learning a new skill, excitement, action, and to experiences an ultimate challenge. Above all, however fun is the highest reason for participation in youth sports. With this in mind, Cohn (1990), insignificantly points out that, ""lack of fun and enjoyment"", is a common reason for feeling burned out. There are alternatives and interventions that can be implemented to catch burnout in its early stages.
Resarch suggests; parent education, a healthly life balance, enabling the child to have input into practice and competitive situations, and congnitivebehavioral techniques such as the use of positive selftalk and relaxation training can be excellent alternative strategies to keep young continued interest in their sport of choice. Above all, and at whatever cost, it is critical to help children and young athletes to learn to enjoy their sport participation.
Professional practice experience has illustrated that athletes suffering from buronout typically encounter significant issues with positive performance success, and achievement. My experience has shown that athletes challenged by burnout lack selfefficacy, selfesteem, motivation, are often embarrassed, and feel signifant pressure from coaches, and parents to achieve higher levels of performance success. The athlete reaches a point where they are simply no longer enjoying participation, fail to perform with a process and present tense mindset, and want to get away from active sport participation at all costs. Often times these athletes feel like ""burnt toast"" and crumble under the drudgery of practice and the pressures of competiton. As a result, they often attempt to selfsabotage their performances consciously in an effort to get off the hook. No matter how hard the athlete may try, their performance is just not up to par with the other athletes. They may have grown past their ""prime"" with a particular sport or no longer wish to deal with the expectations of others. If pressured to continue the athlete will often quit the sport and carry unwanted resentment into the future. The resentment can and often does carry forward into other aspects of their lives. In the beginning everything was fun, but for many the fun turns to work at too early an age. As a result we may lose a promising athlete.
My message to parents, coaches, and others making up the support system of young athletes is this; give the athlete the opportunity to grow, experience, and have fun without the pressure to perform. In time they will decide on their own whether or not they are cut out for competition. Give the young athlete as much space as they need to explore as many sports as they can during their preand early teen years. At some point they will make a decision about whether they wish to become more specialized or simply play to enjoy the intrinsic value that comes with competition. By giving the athlete the freedom to ""choose"" without pressure they learn that life is not all about performance demands, but rather who they are is determined by how they see themselves in the world in relation to their life experiences.

Sports Scooters
Sports Scooters
Motor scooters come in many different styles, from sports scooters to classic European style scooters. Each scooter type has its own unique look and is designed for different functions. Every scooter type has a following of hard core fans who can tell you why that style is the best, and no matter what you're into, there's a scooter type out there to fit your personality.
Rugged Sports Scooters
The style of sports scooters is much more rugged than that of classic scooter types. Sports scooters are meant to go faster and under harsher conditions. They generally have larger engines, around 150cc, and higher ground clearance than classic European style scooters. They are meant to look sleeker and more "sporty" than other scooter types and are built to take a pounding.
Sports scooters are all about attitude. Their rugged and sporty looks are meant to turn heads, whether you're racing them in the desert or just cruising around town. They often have larger wheels and better suspension to add the stability you'll need while performing maneuvers. They handle great and will get you where you're going in style.
Of course, you can buy scooters in a range of styles, colors, and prices. You can choose between new and used scooters too. Whatever kind you decide to buy, make sure you're going through a good dealer. The only problems I've ever encountered when buying scooters over the years is when I've bought from unlicensed dealers. Whatever you do, make sure your dealer is licensed, especially if you're buying over the Internet.

While not quite as overwhelming as neighboring Mount Thielsen, 8,368foot Mount Bailey is a favorite among Southern Oregonians. The two giant volcanoes, Thielsen and Bailey, rise up on opposite sides of Diamond Lake, just north of Crater Lake. Mount Bailey is the one you see from the Diamond Lake Resort. Bailey is a major, if underrated Cascade Peak, 800 feet lower then Thielsen, with a beautiful and challenging summit trail. In winter, her steep, uniform cinder slopes offer one of the more unusual ski experiences, with mechanized snowcats instead of lifts ferrying skiers. Originally named Mount Baldy because of it's domed profile, the peak became Bailey as a result of a cartographer misreading a surveyor's handwriting. Highlights: A spectacular hike to the top of an 8,368foot volcanic dome rising directly above Diamond Lake.

One of the most memorable hike I've done. The view from the summit is absolutely gorgeous (See photos I uploaded). Everywhere you look it's like the most beautiful painting you've ever seen. The trail is very diverse lots of different landscape. You go through lots of different areas loads of timber, lodge pole pine, mountain hemlock and above the timberline is just jagged rocks. The 5 mile trail is on the difficult and challenging side, but definitely worth the trip. Make sure to bring lots of fluids.
